How to draw a meander border

meander border, meander, how to draw meander
A border can be described as a repeating pattern unit confined within fixed parallel lines. The pattern is repeated lengthwise only. A meander is a decorative border constructed from a continuous line.

1. Draw a 7x6 square grid

2. Start drawing the meander from the center of the grid outwards.

3. Copy the unit horizontally, side by side. Some vertical lines will overlap.

4. Isolate the unit of the pattern.

5. This is the unit of the pattern. You can copy it horizontally, as many times as you want, to draw a meander border.
6. In every border there is also the necessity of turning a corner. Extend the final vertical line downwards.
7. Rotate the pattern 90 degrees and join it to the extended line.
