Napkin folding - Pouch with diagonal stripes

Convert the napkin into a stylish and fancy pouch for silverware or chopsticks. You can also place decorative items, like fresh or dried flowers or a small gift for your visitors.

1. Lay the napkin face-down and fold it half. 

2. Fold again in half, lengthwise. The napkin is folded in quarters. 

3. Place the napkin with the free corners at the top right. 

4. Lift the first layer and roll it diagonally down. Continue as far as you can roll.

5. Flatten the roll with your hand or press with iron. 

6. The first pocket is ready, 

7. Slip the corner of the second layer under the first layer.


8.  Form with the second layer a band of the same width as the first layer's band (about 1 inch or 2 cm).

9. Lift the corner of the third layer and fold it backward.

 10. Form with the third layer a band of the same width as the previous two bands (about 1 inch or 2 cm).

11. The folding of the three pockets is finished. 

12. Fold the sides inder.

13. The three pocket pouch is ready. You can stuff the pockets with silverware, chopsticks, flowers, with a gift or with a greeting card/ name card.
